This album was my first real crack at making electronic music as I was so inspired by the music of The Chemical Brothers and Moby at the time. I enjoyed working with Ashley Mazanec on some of the Beatniks songs, and loved her voice over electronica so I ended up having her sing vocals on the whole album, thus we created Mechanical Cats. Though I intended to do more Mechanical Cats albums, and even had a second in the works, this project evolved into my current group, Inspired Flight instead.
